History

Due to the available possibilities and the need of Qalubia region (and close suburbs), Benha University council agreed to establish a faculty of computer and informatics at the university in session No 17 on 16/10/2006.

The presidential resolution No. 267/2006 was decreed to establish the faculty.

The faculty is located in Benha with a separate entrance at the general location which includes the High Institute of Technology and west to the Faculty of Science.

The faculty is affiliated to the computer and informatics sector at the supreme council of universities.
