New Calls for “Newton Mosharafa” Fund about Cultural Heritage

The British Council announces that a new round of Institutional Links funding call under the Newton Mosharafa Fund is now available for application in the field of Cultural Heritage. Unlike other Newton Mosharafa calls this one has specific focus on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage only.

Cultural Heritage Institutional Links offers grants of up to £300,000 to set up joint partnership between institutions in Egypt and the UK for up to 2 years in the field of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Please note that this call is not in partnership with the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) and hence it is not co-funded in country; Egyptian applicants will need to provide evidence of matched funding contributions. These contributions can be in-kind or cash.

Invitation to attend the 9th International Symposium on Geophysics (ISG-9)

The Faculty of Science, Tanta University is very pleased to invite you to take part in the Ninth International Symposium on Geophysics (ISG-9) which will be held in the duration from 21 to 22 November, 2016 under the title of “Geophysical Advances in Prospection for Conventional and Unconventional Economic Resources”. It is worth mentioning that the Symposium will be held under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf El Shihy, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

A delegation from JIACA visits Benha University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University; the University receives a delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency “JICA” on Monday, 20/06/2016 to discuss the technical cooperation ways in all fields between the two sides. It is worth mentioning that JICA aims to transfer the technology and knowledge around the world.
